The Wabash tennis team played against former Little Giant player and current Earlham College coach Adam Van Zee's team from Richmond Wednesday night at the Collett Tennis Center. The Quakers triumphed with a 7-2 win over the home Wabash squad.
Van Zee was a member of current Wabash head coach
Jason Hutchison's tennis team at Wabash before graduating in 2007. He is in his fourth season as the Earlham head coach.

Ian Leonard started the match well for Wabash, cruising to an 8-1 victory at number three doubles to improve to 8-1 for the season in the third flight. Earlham won the remaining two doubles' matches to take a 2-1 lead.
Phil Kubisz tied the match at 2-2 with a straight-sets 7-6 (4), 6-1 victory at six singles. That would be the final victory of the night for the Little Giants, as Earlham ran off a string of five straigh victories to improve to 5-1 for the season.
Leonard saw his string of eight straight singles victories to open the season come to an end with a 6-3, 6-4 loss in the fourth flight.
Nate Koelper forced three sets in his fifth singles match before losing 3-6, 7-5, 10-7.
Wabash (6-3) will head to California on Friday for spring break. The Little Giants will play matches against the California Institute of Technology, Whittier, Occidental, and Chapman during their stay in the Los Angeles area.
