Wabash improved to 2-1 at the start of the tennis center after splitting a pair of matches in Illinois Saturday. The Little Giants lost 6-3 to Augustana College in the first match before rallying for an 8-1 victory in the nightcap against Monmouth College.

Wade Miller, Daniel Delgado, and Ian Leonard won the only matches for Wabash against Augustana. Miller scored a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 win at number one singles. Delgado needed three sets to pick up a 6-2, 3-6, 10-7 victory at number two singles. Leonard won the third singles flight 6-3, 6-2.

Miller improved to 3-0 for the season with a 6-2, 6-0 win in single play against Monmouth. Delgado is also 3-0 after a 6-2, 6-2 win at number two singles. Peter Gunderman picked up a 6-3, 4-6, 10-7 victory at number three singles, while Leonard scored his third singles win without a loss with a 6-2, 6-1 win in the fourth flight. Nate Koelper won 6-0, 6-2 at number five singles, while Phil Kubisz picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win in the sixth singles flight.

Gunderman and Miller combined for an 8-3 win at number one doubles. Evan Bayless and Leonard won an 8-0 contest at number three singles.

Wabash returns home to play Ohio Wesleyan University and Westminster College Saturday at the Collett Tennis Center.
