Wabash Celebrates Seniors in Home Tennis Finale

Seniors Peter Gunderman (left) and Evan Bayless (right) with three-time NCAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year Jason Hutchison.
The Little Giant tennis team celebrated the careers of seniors Evan Bayless and Peter Gunderman prior to Saturday's home finale against Denison University. The 29th-ranked Big Red squad defeated Wabash 9-0.

Gunderman, who was in Chicago on a graduate school visit, was unable to participate in the last home match of the regular season. He is tied with his father, Rick Gunderman '83, for seventh on the all-time singles' victories list with 48. Bayless is tied at the top of the Wabash career doubles victories, equaling the mark of 67 set by Jay Horrey '09.

The duo will have opportunities to add to their career totals next week when Wabash competes in the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Tennis Tournament, to be hosted by Kenyon College.
