Tennis Earns Fourth Straight Win

Mark Troiano picked up a key singles victory in the Little Giants' 5-4 win at Albion.

A pair of singles victories propelled Wabash to its fourth consecutive win Saturday. The Little Giants picked up a 5-4 decision at Albion.

Mark Troiano and Phil Kubisz produced the deciding team points for Wabash. Troiano won his fourth flight of singles play 6-3, 6-1. Kubisz picked up a three-set victory at sixth singles by scores of 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.

The Little Giants swept the doubles points to set up the win. Daniel Delgado joined Troiano for an 8-2 win at number one doubles. Nate Koelper and Wade Miller won 8-4 in the second doubles flight. Kubisz and Ian Leonard scored a 9-7 victory in the third flight.

Wabash improved to 11-6 overall for the season. The Little Giants open North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play Saturday with a home match against Wittenberg University at 9 a.m. Wabash will play Marian University at 4 p.m.
