Ian Leonard and Phil Kubisz scored an 8-6 victory in the third doubles flight to give the Little Giants the first three team points.

The Cougars (3-1)  took the first three singles flights and picked up a win at sixth singles, but Leonard and Kubisz secured the win for Wabash with a pair of three-set singles victories. Leonard rallied after losing the first set at fourth singles 4-6 with a 6-4 second set victory and a a 7-5 win in the final set. Kubisz took his first set at fifth singles 6-3, lost 7-3 in the tiebreaker of the second set, then came back to win 6-4 in the third.

"This was a really exciting match," head coach Jason Hutchison said. "We played really well to sweep the doubles match, but we lost Wade to an injury for the singles' match. Phil and Ian really stepped up to win those matches and get us the team victory."

Wabash (7-5) will finish the competition portion of their trip on Wednesday with a 12:30 p.m. match against Ohio Northern University.
