The Wabash tennis faced tough competition in its first outdoor home matches of the 2013 season. The Little Giants lost 7-2 to North Coast Athletic Conference West Division foe Wittenberg, followed by a 7-2 loss to NAIA in-state opponent Marian University.

Wade Miller and Mark Troiano combined for a pair of doubles victories, starting with an 8-4 win in the first flight versus Sergio Fishkin and Stas Pakhomov from Wittenberg. Miller and Troiano combined for a 9-7 win against Marian's Jason Denton and Kyle Heuer in the first flight of the second match.

Troiano scored the lone singles win for Wabash versus Wittenberg (10-2, 1-0 NCAC West) with a 6-2, 5-7, 10-4 victory in the second flight against Pakhomov. Troiano moved up to number one singles against Marian (16-7) to score a straight-sets 7-5, 7-5 win.

Wabash (11-8) returns to action Tuesday with a match at Illinois Wesleyan University.
