Two of the oldest records in the history of the Wabash College swimming and diving program fell by the wayside Saturday in a double-dual meet at the Class of 1950 Natatorium.
Â
Aaron Embree set new school marks on the one- and three-meter diving boards, winning both events to help Wabash earn a split in the team competition. The Little Giants defeated Manchester University 240-43 but lost to Rose-Hulman 165-135.
Â
Ron Zimmerman was present at the meet to watch his 1992 record of 290.25 points on the one-meter board be broken by Embree with a total of 299.60 in six dives. Embree also broke the 1992 record of Christopher Davis in three-meter competition (288.35 points) by scoring 289.45 in six dives. Teammate
Max Von Deylen finished third on both boards, scoring 255.10 points in one-meter competition. He scored 257.90 points on the three-meter board.
Â
"I told Aaron and Max they are both so far ahead of what Chris and I could do as divers," Zimmerman said. "To be here judging the events and see those records broken was really exciting."
Â

Jack Belford finished the day as multiple event champions. Banks won all three events in which he participated, starting with the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.84. Banks scored a win in the 200 breaststroke by finishing in 2:08.90, then posted a time of 2:00.00 in the 200 individual medley for his final victory.
