Wabash College seniors John Allen, Dane Market, and Aidan Mason, along with sophomore Ryan West, have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Team announced Tuesday.
Student-athletes nominated for Academic All-District recognition must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, and either compete in 75 percent of their team's competitions, finish in the top eight at a conference meet, or participate in a national championship. Each institution is allotted a maximum of four nominations.
Allen, a political science major, competed as part of the Little Giants' 200-yard freestyle relay team and also swam in the 50-, 100-, and 200-yard freestyle events at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships in February. He posted season-best times in the 50 free (22.19), 100 free (49.04), and 200 free (1:46.72) at the meet.
Market, a music major, turned in season-best times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.30), 200 breaststroke (2:12.37), and 400 individual medley (4:22.91) at the conference championships. He also recorded a personal-best time of 1:01.82 in the 100-yard individual medley at the Gail Moll Pebworth Invitational in November 2025.
Mason, a chemistry and Spanish double major, competed in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events and the 100-yard breaststroke at the conference meet, where he posted season-best times. He also recorded a personal-best time of 1:01.37 at the Wabash Last Chance Meet in February.
West had not declared a major at the time of the nomination. He became the first Wabash swimmer to compete at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships since 2016 and the first to earn All-America honors in that span. He placed eighth in the finals of the 200-yard backstroke in 1:46.97 after qualifying for the A final with a school-record time of 1:46.06. He also set a new Wabash record in the 100-yard backstroke at the Wabash Last Chance Meet in February.
