Graham McMullen scored the decisive point in the Wabash 5-4 win at Oberlin.

Wabash Wins at Oberlin in Marathon Match

Wabash won the final point of Saturday's six-hour match versus Oberlin to earn a 5-4 victory. The Little Giants lost 5-0 to NCAA Division II Tiffin in afternoon match.
 
The number-one doubles team of Daniel Delgado an William Reifeis rallied for a 9-8 win to score the first team point for the Little Giants. Delgado forced three sets in his number-one singles match to score a 6-3, 0-6, 6-3 win.
 
Kirill Ivashchenko took a straight-sets victory at sixth singles with scores of 6-2, 6-4. Reifeis added a 6-3, 7-5 win at number four singles to even the team match at 4-4.
 
The final showdown came at number five singles with Graham McMullen facing Oberlin's Abraham Davis. McMullen won the first set 6-4 but fell 6-1 in the second to force a final set. McMullen came away with a 6-3 victory to earn the winning team point for the Little Giants.
 
Tiffin swept the three doubles matches, including a 9-8 (8) tiebreaker victory over Mark Troiano and Michael Makio in the top flight. The Dragons closed out the match with wins at fifth and sixth singles.
 
Wabash (3-2) plays at Elmhurst next Sunday.
