Wabash scored a 7-2 win Saturday night over Elmhurst College after losing 6-3 to Oberlin College in the first home match of the 2016 spring tennis season.

Michael Makio and
William Reifeis earned an 8-3 win in number one singles against Oberlin in the day's first match. Makio added a three-set win at number one singles (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) prior to a 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-4 win by
Jordan Greenwell at number three singles.

The Little Giants cruised to the victory in the night cap, starting with a pair of doubles wins. Makio and Reifeis scored an 8-2 win at number one doubles.
Mazin Hakim and
Kirill Ivashchenko held a 5-0 advantage at number two doubles before an injury to one of their Elmhurst opponents forced a retirement and a victory for the Wabash duo.

Makio remained unbeaten for the day by posting a 6-1, 6-1 win at number one singles. Greenwell picked up a three-set win at number three singles by scores of 6-7, 6-3, 10-4. Ivashchenko won 6-1, 7-6 (1) at number four singles.
Nicholas Pollock earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at number five singles. Hakim closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the sixth singles flight.

Wabash (2-2) returns to action next Saturday with two matches at Lake Forest, Illinois against UW-Oshkosh and Lake Forest College.
