The Wabash tennis team scored a pair of victories Saturday, knocking off Franklin College 9-0 before scoring a 6-3 win against Capital University.

The Little Giants trailed Capital (4-7) after the visiting Crusaders scored a pair of wins in doubles competition.
Michael Makio and
William Reifeis picked up the lone victory at number one doubles by a score of 8-3.

Wabash dominated singles play, thanks in part to wins in 23 consecutive games. Makio scored a 6-4, 6-0 win at number one singles. Reifeis added a 6-3, 6-1 win at number two singles.
Jordan Greenwell rallied from a 0-6 first set in the third singles flight to blank his opponent 6-0, 6-0 during the 23-game streak for an individual win.
Kirill Ivashchenko cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 victory at fourth singles. Nicholas Pollack added the final win at fifth singles with a score of 6-1, 6-3.

Makio and Reifeis quickly disposed of their Franklin (0-5) opponents at number-one doubles. Ivashchenko and
Mazin Hakim captured an 8-2 victory at number two doubles.
George Go III and Greenwell earned an 8-1 win in the third doubles flight.

Makio (6-4, 6-4), Reifeis (6-1, 6-1), and Greenwell (6-1, 6-0) all scored wins in the first three singles flights. Ivashchenko, Pollack, and Hakim each scored 6-0, 6-0 wins in the final three singles matches.    Â

Wabash improved to 10-8 with the wins. The Little Giants return home for matches versus Kalamazoo and Hanover Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
