Wabash faced its third ranked opponent in a row during its spring break trip to California, losing a close 5-4 contest at 40th-ranked Caltech.
Michael Makio and
William Reifeis scored the only tally in doubles play, winning 8-4 in the first flight for the twosome's eighth win in the last ten matches.
Makio scored a singles win in the first flight by scores of 6-4, 6-4. Reifeis picked up a straight sets 6-3, 6-1 victory at number two singles.
Jordan Greenwell added the fourth point for the Little Giants at number three singles (6-4, 6-1).
Wabash (8-6) returns to action Thursday with matches against Carnegie Mellon University and George Fox University.
