Wabash split a pair of matches Saturday at the Collett Tennis Center. The Little Giants lost to nationally-ranked Case Western Reserve University 7-2 in the morning session before posting a 9-0 sweep of Monmouth College in the evening contest.

William Reifeis and
Patrick McAuley improved to 5-1 for the season at number one doubles by scoring a pair of victories. Â The duo defeated Fred Daum and John Benedetto from eighth-ranked Case Western Reserve 8-6 before earning an identical score in the victory over Monmouth's Ronnie Griffin and Landon Walker. Reifeis added the only other victory for the Little Giants in the morning session with a three-set win (7-6(7-5), 5-7, 6-4) at number one singles to improve to 5-1 after a 6-2, 6-1 win over Dylan Wong in the nightcap against Monmouth.

The doubles duo of
Jordan Greenwell and
Andrew Denning scored an 8-2 win in the second doubles flight over Wong and Paulo Pliego of Monmouth to score the first team point in the Little Giants' shutout of the Scots Saturday evening.
George Go III and
Mazin Hakim combined for an 8-3 victory over Saxon Day and Cole Pyatt at third doubles.

McAuley posted a straight sets win at number two singles (6-4, 6-2). Greenwell picked up a victory in the longest match of the evening, taking a first-set victory by a score of 7-6 in a 30-point tiebreaker at 16-14. Greenwell had an easier time in the second set with a 6-2 victory in the third singles flight.

Nicholas Pollock added a 6-3, 6-1 win at fourth singles.
Kirill Ivashchenko posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at number five singles. Denning completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-2 cruise through the sixth singles flight.

Wabash (3-3) travels to Michigan on Saturday with matches at Hope College against the Flying Dutchmen as well as Carthage College.
