Wabash tennis opened a difficult weekend of matches Saturday, facing nationally-ranked Oberlin in Cleveland, Ohio. The Little Giants lost its cross-divisional North Coast Athletic Conference match 6-2.

Oberlin entered play ranked 40
th in the preseason national Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll and 11
th in the organization's Central Regional listing. The Little Giants came into play ranked 15
th. The Yeomen took an early 3-0 lead with victories in all three doubles matches.

William Reifeis scored the first point in singles play for Wabash with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the number two flight.
Mazin Hakim won a 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) decision at number six singles.

The road gets tougher for Wabash (2-1) Sunday when the Little Giants complete the weekend road trip against Kenyon College. The Lords are ranked 11
th nationally and third in the Central Region.
