Wabash Netters Rally For Win Versus Rose-Hulman

Wabash trailed Rose-Hulman early in its Saturday home match but captured five of the six singles matches for a 6-3 victory over its in-state rival.

Rose took the early 2-1 after winning a pair of doubles matches. Only the 9-7 victory by the number three doubles team of Jordan Greenwell and Kirill Ivashchenko prevented a three-point sweep by the Fightin' Engineers in the doubles portion of the contest.

The Little Giants won the overall team score by earning victories in five of the six singles matches. Michael Makio scored a 6-4, 7-5 win at number two singles. Greenwell picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win in the third singles flight. Patrick McAuley won at number four singles. Ivashchenko earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory in the fifth singles flight. Nicholas Pollack won 6-4, 6-0 in the final sixth singles match.

Wabash (7-8) plays host to Washington University-St. Louis this Friday at 4 p.m.
