Wabash honored tennis seniors
Mazin Hakim,
Michael Makio,
Nathan Neal, and
Harrison Schafer prior to earning a 9-0 win over Wooster to close out the 2016-17 regular season schedule.
Makio partnered with
Jordan Greenwell to claim an 8-2 win at number two doubles. Hakim joined with
Andrew Denning to score an 8-2 win in the third doubles flight.
William Reifeis and
Patrick McAuley picked up an 8-4 win in the first doubles flight.
Reifeis won in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (3) in number one singles. Makio dominated play in a 6-1, 6-0 win in the number two singles match. Greenwell added a straight sets 6-2, 7-6 (2) win in the third singles flight. McAuley picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win at number four singles. Nicholas Pollack matched Makio's effort with a 6-1, 6-0 win at number five singles. Denning closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory in the sixth singles flight.
Wabash (11-13) will compete next week in the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament to be hosted by Kenyon College.
