Wabash freshman midfielder Joseph Plencner earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Little Giants to a 15-6 home win in their conference opener Saturday against Hiram.
 
Plencner scored three goals and handed out two assists for a total of five points in the victory. He scored on three of his four shot attempts in the contest. Plencner also scooped up five ground balls for Wabash in the game.
 
Saturday's win was third conference victory for Wabash since the Little Giants began playing varsity lacrosse in 2015. The win also marked the first time in program history the Little Giants have opened the year with a 1-0 conference record to enter into a four-way tie for first place in the NCAC standings.

Plencner is the second Wabash player to earn NCAC Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week honors this season. Tucker Dixon received the award on March 4.
