Wabash carried a fourth-place relay finish and a pair of top diving finals performance to second place after the first day of competition at the 2020 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

The Little Giants scored a total of 133 points to trail only Kenyon College with 153 points. The College of Wooster sits in third place with a score of 109 followed by Allegheny College in fourth with 82 total points.

Wabash started the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter relay.

Kevin Sheridan combined to finish in 6:53.38 for the fastest time of the season for the Little Giants.

Tanner Carver and
Nick Goode totaled 53 points for the team with their top-nine finishes in three-meter diving competition. Carver placed fourth overall with a total score of 315.15. Goode scored a ninth-place finish with a total of 206.10 points.

Competition continues through Saturday. Thursday schedule consists of the 200-yard freestyle relay, the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle, and 400 medley relay. Preliminaries begin at 9:30 a.m. with finals scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
