Wabash College freshman golfer
Brayden Weiss tied for first place in individual standings of the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Tournament hosted Saturday and Sunday by Rose-Hulman at the Trophy Club Golf Course. The Wabash team fired a final round of 316 to place sixth out of 14 teams competing at the event.

Weiss turned in the second-lowest round on the final day of competition with a one-over par 73 to tie for first place individual honors. Weiss finished with a two-day score of 147 (74-73) and led the field with a total of 27 pars over the course of 36 holes played. He tied with Alan Showalter from Franklin who also shot a 147 but finished with a low round of 72 on Sunday to earn medalist honors.

Will Osborn tied for 16th place out of a field of 80 golfers after carding a final round 83 on Sunday for a two-day total of 156.
Justin Kopp tied for 31st place with a total score of 160 with a final round of 78.
Sam Wise shot a round of 83 on Sunday for a two-day total of 168 strokes to tie for 51st place.
Mark Poole tied for 56th place with a total of 171 strokes (89-82).

DePauw University won the team competition with a score of 614, followed in second place by Franklin College (616). Rose-Hulman finished third (617), Transylvania took fourth place (618), and Carthage place fifth overall (620). Â The Little Giants finished with a two-day total of 630 strokes after shooting a 314 on Saturday.

Wabash will compete at the Illinois Wesleyan tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 2-3.
