Little Giants Fourth Entering Final Day Of Pebworth Invite

Wabash improved two spots to fourth in the team standings after two days of the 2023 Gail Moll Pebworth Swimming and Diving Invitational. The Little Giants scored six top-ten finishes in Saturday's finals.
 
Quinn Sweeney scored the top effort for Wabash on day two of the meet with a second-place effort in the 200-yard freestyle. The freshman finished in 1:42.39.
 
Nicholas Plumb raced to fourth place in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke. The freshman completed the finals event in 52.18 after posting a morning prelims time of 52.08. Plumb added an eighth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.84 in the finals after swimming a 52.54 in the morning prelims.
 
Justice Wenz placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 59.16 in the finals. Eddie DaMata scored an eighth-place finish with a time of 59.46.
 
Plumb, DaMata, Ethan Johns, and Connor Craig swam to fifth place in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined time of 1:34.94.
 
Wabash improved two spots to fourth place in the team standings with 348 points heading into Sunday's final day of competition. Centre College took over the team lead with 514 points, followed by Colorado College in second place with 512 points. Birmingham-Southern is third in the 11-team race with 346 points.
