Wabash scored a sub-300 round as a team on the final day of the Ted Barclay Invitational hosted by Denison University over the weekend. The Little Giants finished with a two-day score of 603 with rounds of 308 and 295 to finish in fifth place out of nine teams at the tournament.
Senior
Brayden Weiss tied for third place out of 56 golfers competing at the event. He carded a 75 on Saturday before turning in a career-low round of 67 on Sunday for a two-day score of 142.
Mark Poole tied for 22
nd place with a score of 153. He shot a 73 on Sunday after turning in an 80 on Saturday.
Sean Bledsoe tied for 29
th with a two-round total of 154 strokes. He carded a 75 on Saturday, followed by a 79 on Sunday.
Matthew Lesniak placed 35
th overall with a score of 156 with rounds of 79 and 77.
Lewis Dellinger placed 36
th with a score of 157 (79-78).
Wittenberg's John Aber won medalist honors with a score of 138 with back-to-back rounds of 69. Wittenberg won the team competition with a score of 567. Denison captured second place (588), followed by Otterbein (596), Allegheny (601), and Wabash (603). Muskingum (611), Kenyon "B" (619), Shawnee State (632), and Adrian (no score reported) completed the team scoring.
The 2023 fall season continues for the Little Giants when Wabash competes in the Rhodes College Invitational September 24-25.
