The Wabash College wrestling team earned five top-six finishes at Sunday's non-scoring Greyhound Open held at the University of Indianapolis.

James Day captured second place in the 125-pound weight class. He finished the tournament with three victories, including a pin in his first match. Day added an 11-1 major decision in his second bout then advanced to the finals with an 8-5 sudden victory.

Evan Burge finished in third place at 141 pounds, scoring two pins in his first two matches. Burge needed only 17 seconds to record an opening round pin on his way to the third-place posting.

Daniel Uribe also took third place at 149 pounds. He scored a 17-1 tech fall in the first round, followed by an 11-2 major decision in round two. Uribe scored a 7-4 decision in the quarterfinal round, then won 13-6 in the finals after a loss in the semis.

Tim Smith picked up a fourth-place finish in the 157-pound bracket. He started the tournament with an 11-2 major decision, then scored back-to-back wins by decision, including a 4-1 sudden victory in the quarterfinals.

Neil Johnson added a sixth-place finish at 197 pounds with three wins by decision in the tournament.

Wabash travels to Trine University on February 17 to compete at the Mid-States Invitational.
