Wabash freshman Mason Gilliam earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at Saturday's dual meet between the Little Giants and Indiana University Indianapolis.
 
Gilliam shattered the school record in the 1,000 free, touching the wall for the final time in 9:29.98 to eclipse the old mark of 9:34.08 turned in by Chris Dombrowski in 2018. Gilliam's time earned him a third-place finish in the event in the competition at NCAA Division I IU Indy.
