SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — Wabash College could not sustain its opening-day momentum Monday, finishing fourth overall out of eight teams competing at the 2025 Donald Ross Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at Shaker Heights Country Club.
The Little Giants stood in second place after Sunday's first round at Manakiki Golf Course but slipped to fourth after posting a 314 in the final round for a 36-hole total of 613, 41-over par.
Otterbein University captured the team title at 587 (+15), followed by John Carroll at 598 (+26) and Denison at 610 (+38). Wabash was one shot back of third place and finished one stroke ahead of Marietta and John Carroll's "B" team tied in fifth place.
Senior
Sean Bledsoe led the Little Giants with a 74 on Monday to finish tied for second individually at 146 (+3), five strokes behind medalist Jake Morgan of Otterbein, who fired a 69 in the final round for a 141 (-2). Bledsoe also recorded two eagles during the tournament, one of only two players in the field to do so.
Freshman
Leo Dellinger added a two-day total of 148 (+5), good for sixth place. Freshman
Charlie Seaburg tied for 27th at 157, while senior
Liam McAllister (162, T-39) and sophomore
Mason Pierle (167, 44th) rounded out Wabash's scoring five.
Individually, freshman
Finn Carteaux competed as an unattached entry and finished tied for 33rd at 158, while sophomore
Coen Bauschek tied for 39th at 162.
The Little Giants combined for 20 birdies and three eagles over the two rounds, ranking among the tournament leaders in red numbers.
