CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Wabash College wrestling team produced a dominant performance from start to finish Friday afternoon, sweeping all 10 bouts to earn a 58-0 dual-meet victory over Marian University Ancilla at Chadwick Court.
The Little Giants opened the dual with a forfeit at 125 pounds as Andrew Punzalan collected six team points without taking the mat to give Wabash an immediate 6-0 advantage. That momentum carried into the next bout, where James Day delivered the first contested win of the afternoon. Day scored a takedown early and quickly turned Jacob Kaake, pinning the Chargers' wrestler just 1 minute, 37 seconds into the match to extend the lead to 12-0.
Wabash continued to build separation with three more forfeits in succession. Brayden Edwards claimed a forfeit at 141 pounds, followed by Caden Polson at 149 and Andrew Ross at 157, pushing the team score to 30-0 midway through the dual.
The Little Giants returned to action at 165 pounds, where Cooper McCloy wasted little time in his bout with Sonny Gilbert. McCloy secured an early takedown and finished the match with a fall just 43 seconds into the first period to make the score 36-0.
Jaylen Young followed with another quick pin at 174 pounds. Young took Dylan Goff to the mat and ended the bout at the 1:54 mark of the opening period, increasing Wabash's lead to 42-0.
Michael Taheny added six more points at 184 pounds via forfeit before the Little Giants closed the dual with their only decision of the afternoon. At 197 pounds, Spencer Watson faced Andy Warren and controlled the match throughout, earning a 16-8 major decision to give Wabash four additional team points.
The dual concluded at heavyweight, where Titus Waters recorded Wabash's sixth forfeit of the match at 285 pounds, sealing the 58-0 shutout over the visiting Chargers.
Wabash will compete at the 2026 National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals January 9-10 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
