CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — The Wabash College swimming and diving team earned recognition as a Scholar All-America Team for the 2025 fall semester, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday.
Wabash received the honor after posting a 3.59 cumulative team grade-point average during the fall term. The Scholar All-America designation represents the highest academic honor awarded by the CSCAA and is presented by Fitter and Faster Swim Camps.
"What an incredible semester in the classroom," Wabash head coach
Will Bernhardt said. "This is the highest team GPA in program history that we could find records for, and it shows this team's commitment to their studies. This GPA places us in a tie for the 14th-highest team GPA in the country. That is such a huge accomplishment. I want to thank our men for their diligence and hard work this semester. We are looking for many more semesters just like this one."
The Little Giants were among 709 teams representing 414 institutions nationwide to earn the distinction. Programs from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as NAIA, junior college and community college institutions, were recognized, underscoring the sport's broad academic impact across all levels of collegiate competition.
In total, 16,421 student-athletes earned Scholar All-America recognition for the Fall 2025 semester. To qualify, teams were required to achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00, reflecting sustained academic excellence alongside competitive performance.
"The academic commitment demonstrated by these teams is exceptional," CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany said. "These student-athletes continue to set a standard for excellence by succeeding at the highest level both in the pool and in the classroom, and the CSCAA is proud to recognize their dedication and achievement."
