Eight members of the Wabash College football team have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. The Little Giants' honorees include offensive linemen
Jax Bower and
Quinn Sholar, wide receiver
Kannon Chase, quarterback
Jackson Gilbert, defensive back
Gage Gulley, defensive linemen
Wade McAllister and
Jerry McBee, and running back
Xavier Tyler.
Student-athletes nominated for Academic All-District recognition must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, and either appear in 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests.
Bower, a junior biology major, started all 11 games on the offensive line. He helped anchor a unit that powered one of the North Coast Athletic Conference's top offenses. Wabash ranked second in the league in rushing (141.9 yards per game), third in scoring (37.1 ppg) and passing (268.9 ypg), and fourth in total offense (410.8 ypg). The Little Giants' scoring average ranked 38th nationally in Division III. Bower also earned Second Team All-NCAC honors in 2025.
Chase, a senior art major, appeared in nine games at wide receiver. He finished with 22 receptions for 303 yards and ranked second on the team with five touchdown catches.
Gilbert, a sophomore quarterback, played in all 11 games as a backup and special teams holder. Undeclared academically, he completed 58 of 96 passes for 770 yards and nine touchdowns during his second collegiate season.
Gulley, a sophomore defensive back who has not yet declared a major, played in all 11 games and totaled 36 tackles, including 17 solo stops. He added two interceptions, four pass breakups, 2.5 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Gulley returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown against Denison and blocked and recovered a kick for a score versus St. Norbert. He earned Second Team All-NCAC recognition.
McAllister, a junior economics major, appeared in 10 games on the defensive line. He recorded 10 total tackles, including six solo stops, along with two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss totaling 18 yards. He also registered a pass breakup and quarterback hurry.
McBee, a senior psychology major, earned his first career all-conference honor with a Third Team All-NCAC selection in 2025. The defensive lineman finished with 23 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss totaling 26 yards across 10 games. He recorded 3.5 sacks and recovered a fumble in the season-opening win at St. Norbert, while posting a season-high four tackles in consecutive games to open the year.
Sholar, a senior art major and four-time First Team All-NCAC selection, continued to rank among the top linemen in Division III. A 2025 Associated Press Second Team All-America and D3football.com Fourth Team All-America selection, Sholar started 10 games at left tackle and helped Wabash produce one of the conference's most balanced offensive attacks, ranking among the league leaders in rushing, passing, and scoring offense.
Tyler, a senior philosophy major, collected Third Team All-NCAC honors for the second consecutive season after earning Second Team recognition in 2024. He led Wabash with 131 carries for 594 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 2025. Tyler finished his career with 2,404 rushing yards, ranking 10th in school history, and his 24 rushing touchdowns are tied for ninth all-time.
