Meet Results
The Wabash swimming and diving team traveled to Michigan Saturday for a neutral-pool dual meet against the University of Indianapolis. The Little Giants fell to the Division II school 166-44 in a meet held at Hillsdale College.
Andy Chorpenning,
Aaron Troyer, and
Jake Childress posted the best individual finishes for Wabash. Chorpenning took second place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.89. Troyer grabbed second place in the 100-yard freestyle (49.03), while Childress was second in the 200 backstroke (2:04.70).
Carter Adams finished third in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:35.71.
Logan Falley touched in third place in the 200 freestyle by finishing in 1:52.99.
Steve Batchelder added a third-place finish in the 200 yard individual medley (2:03.83), while
Adam Barnes took third in the 500 free (5:07.75).
Both relay teams took third place to start and finish the meet. The foursome of Childress,
Paul Buescher, Adams, and Troyer took third to open the meet in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:40.18.
Logan Rice, Batchelder,
Alex Hawkins, and Troyer raced to a third-place finish in the final event — the 200-yard freestyle relay — with a time of 1:31.16.
Wabash returns home for a 6 p.m. Friday meet against Franklin College at the Class of 1950 Natatorium. The Little Giants will honor the senior members of the squad prior to the start of the final home meet of the season against the Grizzlies.
