Elliot Johns and
Aaron Troyer scored individual wins for the Little Giants in the team's final swimming and diving meet of the 2012-2013 season. Wabash lost at Kalamazoo by a final score of 167-83.
Johns touched first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.51. He added a second-place result in the 100 free by finishing in 48.76. Troyer's victory came in the 100-yard backstroke, where he posted a time of 58.83. He also took second place in the 200 backstroke (1:58.78).
Jack Belford finished second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:08.40.
Arturo Granados finished right behind in third place at 10:12.44 for his best time of the season.
Joel Paquin scored a fourth-place finish with a time of 10:13.89. Belford picked up another second-place finish in the 500 free (4:55.96), with Paquin taking third place (4:57.07).
Carter Adams took second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:00.47) and third in the 100 fly (54.18).
Josh Bleisch posted a season-best time of 1:01.05 to take third place in the 100 breaststroke.
Dylan Miller placed third in the 50 free (22.88), while
Zechariah Banks added a third-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:15.29).
Troyer, Banks, Adams, and Johns combined to finish third in the 200-yard medley relay (1:38.98). Johns, Troyer,
Steve Batchelder, and
Chris McGue finished the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:29.69 to take third place.
Wabash will compete at the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships February 14-16 in Canton, Ohio.
