Wabash finished ninth overall and second among the Division III men's cross country teams competing Friday afternoon at the Notre Dame Invitational.

The top-seven runners for the Red Pack finished within one minute of one another.
The Little Giants scored 271 points in the 23-team Gold Division race which featured teams from all divisions along with the University of Windsor from Canada. Wabash finished behind North Central College, the top-ranked team in the latest US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll. The Cardinals took second place with a team score of 82 points. The Little Giants, 16
th in the latest rankings, placed ahead of 28
th-ranked UW-Oshkosh (287 points) and 25
th-ranked Calvin College (298).

Billy McManus crossed the finish line in the 5-mile run in 38
th place with a time of 25:08.6.
Jared Burris captured 48
th place by finishing in 25:16.5.
Adam Togami followed in 56
th place (25:22.5), with
Mason McKinney posting a time of 25:26.1 to take 62
nd place.
Nick Boyce was the final scorer for the Little Giants, placing 70
th (25:31.4). The gap distance for the five-man group for Wabash came in at 23 seconds.

Fabian House took 76
th place with a time of 25:33.8.
Colin Rinne captured 101
st place (25:54.2), giving Wabash seven runners within one minute of one another.
Murphy Sheets added a 132
nd-place finish (26:26.6), while Charlie Mettler took 140
th place (26:32.7) in the 181-man field.

Grand Valley State won the overall Gold Division title with 71 points.

Wabash will compete in the AAE Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on October 18.
