Crawfordsville, Ind. — The Wabash College men's cross country team has been picked to finish sixth at the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championships, according to the pre-championship coaches poll released by the league office.
Kenyon received seven first-place votes and 79 points to earn the top spot, followed by John Carroll with 71 points and two first-place votes. Denison (61), Oberlin (57), and DePauw (47) rounded out the top five ahead of the Little Giants, who collected 36 points. Wooster (27), Ohio Wesleyan (17), and Wittenberg (10) completed the nine-team field.
Wabash enters Saturday's championship meet at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, looking to build on a season highlighted by consistency and depth across the lineup. Senior
Haiden Diemer-McKinney is a two-time All-NCAC cross country honoree. He turned in a time of 26:57.2 at the Augustana Interregional Invitational in his first competition of the season.
Freshman
Tyler Kerzee ran a time of 26:54.4 to finish 32nd at the Gil Dodds Invitational hosted by Wheaton College. Sophomore
Johnathan Loney owns a best mark of 27:06.0 at the Louisville Classic. Freshman
Samuel Carpenter has steadily improved through his debut campaign, highlighted by a 27:12.0 performance at the Gil Dodds meet.
First-year
Jack Loftus recorded a season-best 27:23.0 at the Louisville meet. Junior
Austin Jewell clocked a 27:59.9 in Louisville. Junior
Angel Perez produced a season-best time of 28:23.8 at the Gil Dodds Invite. Senior
Thomas Price ran the 8,000-meter event at Augustana in a personal-best 28:44.7. Sophomore
Sawyer Lewis posted a time of 28:47.7 in Louisville.
The men's championship race begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the women's championship race at 12:15 p.m.
