The Wabash College cross country team placed 13th out of 32 teams in the Blue Race at Saturday's Augustana College Interregional Invitational, hosted at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois. The Little Giants totaled 460 points, finishing ahead of Ripon (468) in 14th and Bethel (Minn.) (474) in 15th.

Wartburg College claimed the team title with 38 points, followed by Wisconsin–La Crosse (92) and Washington University in St. Louis (120) in second and third, respectively.

Haiden Diemer-McKinney led Wabash with a 70th-place finish, completing the 8,000-meter course in 27:12.90. Freshman
Jack Loftus followed in 94th place with a time of 27:31.20, while sophomore
Johnathan Loney took 128th in 27:50.40. Freshman
Samuel Carpenter finished 151st at 28:04.10, and senior
Thomas Price rounded out the scoring five with a personal-best time of 28:44.70 to place 217th.
Junior
Angel Perez (248th, 29:15.00) and junior
Austin Jewell (315th, 30:20.80) completed the top seven for the Little Giants.
Wabash will return to competition on Saturday, November 1, at the North Coast Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted by Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
