Wabash took a tour of the 2014 NCAA DIII Cross Country Nationals course Saturday. The Little Giants were one of 31 teams to run at the Wilmington College Pre-Nationals Race, finishing 18th overall.
"We wanted to view this race as more of a workout and a chance to preview the course where nationals will be held this year," Head Coach Roger Busch said. "We really didn't go with any idea to try and compete necessarily as a team."
Collin Ginebaugh turned in the best individual finish, crossing the line in 25:39.48 to take 89th place.
Colin Rinne finished 119th (26:04.07), followed by
Fabian House in 120th place (26:04.61),
Jared Burris in 126th place (26:08.57), and
Murphy Sheets in 128th place (26:09.82. A total of 375 runners completed the 8,000-meter course.
Wabash will compete at the annual Notre Dame Invitational this Friday. Competition begins at 2 p.m.
