Wabash splits its cross country team into two groups Saturday to compete in both the Division III Pre-Nationals portion of the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic and the Earlham College Pat Thomas Invitational.

The Little Giants placed sixth out of 43 teams at the Louisville meet and took second place out of five teams at Earlham.

Mason McKinney paced the Red Pack's effort at the Pre-Nationals, finishing third out of a field of 388 runners by posting a time of 25:11.68.
Dominic Patacsil crossed the line in seventh place by finishing in 25:22.97.
Colin Rinne added an 11th-place finish with a time of 25:29.09.

Freshman
Sam Henthorn placed 58th and scored 53 points for Wabash with his time of 26:21.66.
Johnny Kirts crossed the line in 26:38.15 for a 79th-place finish and added 71 points to the Little Giants' team total of 145.
Murphy Sheets placed 91st with a time of 26:53.10.
Aaron Tincher turned in a time of 26:57.58 to place 97th.
Free Kashon finished 151st at 27:45.21, while
Hayden Baehl placed 207th by finishing in 28:20.65.

North Central won the team competition with a total of 26 points, followed by Pomona-Pitzer in second (108),Carnegie Mellon in third (111), Johns Hopkins in fourth place (130), and Emory placing fifth (134).

Six Wabash runners raced at Earlham. The Little Giants tallied 55 points to trail only Anderson (46) in the final team scoring.
Andrew Brake led the way for the Red Pack with a fifth-place finish at 21:34.3.
Matthew Bailey placed seventh by finishing in 21:37.5.
Drew Lukens crossed the line in 21:49.5 to finish in 12th place with teammate
Robert Wunderlich III finishing right behind in 13th place with a time of 21:56.9.
Chandler Steward scored an 18th-place finish by posting a time of 22:36.9.
Steven Reidell grabbed 28th place at 24:45.0.
