Mason McKinney,
Dominic Patacsil, and
Colin Rinne each earned All-Great Lakes Regional honors at Saturday's NCAA DIII competition at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. The Little Giant team finished fifth out of 36 teams.
McKinney finished fourth out of 249 runners with a time of 24:55.0. Patacsil scored a ninth-place finish by crossing the line in 25:00.2. Rinne posted the third all-regional effort with a time of 25:15.3 to place 17th.

Sam Henthorn and
Johnny Kirts finished as the final scorers for the Little Giants. The freshmen place 62nd and 81st, respectively. Henthorn turned in a time of 26:14.3. Kirts finished the 8,000-meter course in 26:33.2.

Aaron Tincher placed 101st for Wabash with a time of 26:42.6.
Murphy Sheets crossed the finish line in 27:13.0 for 125th place.

"We ran a pretty solid race," head coach Colin Young said. "Looking forward we'll have our top-six runners back next season. The freshmen ran great to be our fourth and fifth guys. Dom and Mason will be individual qualifiers for sure. We'll have to wait for the Sunday announcement to see if Colin earns a place at the national championship meet."

The top-seven individual finishers from each regional who are not members of qualifying teams will be selected to compete at the NCAA DIII Championship Meet. The NCAA will announce the championship field Sunday, November 13 at 1 p.m.

Wabash scored a total of 173 points to finish fifth place. Calvin captured the Great Lakes Regional title with 63 points, ending the Little Giants' run of three consecutive victories. Allegheny placed second with 116 points, followed by Ohio Northern (121) and Mount Union (151).
