Austin Ellingwood captured the top spot in the men's 300-meter dash at Saturday's Mastodon Indoor Track and Field Opener at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne to begin the 2017-2018 season for Wabash.
 
Ellingwood raced to the top spot with a time of 36.34. The senior added a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 23:42.
 
Christopher Barker finished fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:06.26.  Parker Redelman took sixth place in the 600-meter run by posting a time of 1:25.95. Luke Doughty placed eighth in the mile run by crossing the finish line in 4:34.58. Hayden Baehl placed 10^th in the mile with a time of 4:35.19.
 
Wabash was the only Division III school to compete in the non-scoring meet.
