The Wabash track and field team traveled to Terre Haute, Indiana, Friday evening, placing second out of nine teams at the Rose-Hulman Engineer Invitational.

The Little Giants scored 109.5 points, trailing host Rose-Hulman's total of 152.5 points. Thomas More placed third overall with 86 points. Bellarmine (75), Millikin (51), Franklin (32), Brescia (25), Kentucky Wesleyan (20.5), and Hanover (7.5) rounded out the team scoring.

Wabash dominated the 400-meter dash, grabbing the top-two spots.
Parker Redelman won the event by finishing in 51.10.
Austin Ellingwood placed second with a time of 51.20. Redelman and Ellingwood joined
Brady Gossett and
Tyler Ramsey in the 4x400-meter relay to win with a total time of 3:30.36.

Hayden Baehl won the 800-meter run in 1:59.31.
Luke Doughty finished in 2:01.61 for fourth place overall.

Isaac Avant raced to first place in the finals of the 60-meter dash, winning the event with a time of 7.09.

Aaron Tincher ran to second place in the 3000-meter run, finishing in 8:53.99.
John Kirts took fifth place in the 3000 with a time of 8:57.96.

PJ Schafer posted a top mark of 6.19 meters (20 feet, 3.75 inches) to capture second place in the long jump.
Jared Strehl placed fifth with a leap of 6 meters (19 feet, 8.25 inches). Schafer also placed third in the high jump by clearing 1.89 meters (6 feet, 2.25 inches).

The Wabash foursome of
Josh Wiggins,
Andrew Young, Jalaen Ramsey, and
Ballard Suiter combined to finish second in the 4x200-meter relay, finishing the race in 1:34.80.

Wiggins placed third in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 8.75.
Angus Edmundson finished in 9.29 to take sixth place in the finals.

A small group of the track and field team will compete Saturday at Purdue University. The full team returns to action Saturday, February 3 at the Olivet Nazarene University.
