The Wabash swimming and diving team closed out the 2018 portion of its season Friday evening at the University of Indianapolis. The visiting Little Giants lost 193-49 to the second-ranked NCAA Division II Greyhounds.

Wabash, ranked 25th in the latest Division III TYR/College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America national poll, began the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay.

Samuel Bleisch,
Kevin Sheridan, and
Joe Whitaker combined for a winning time of 55.65.

The Little Giants scored a pair of second-place finishes, as well.
Jan Dziadek completed the 100-yard butterfly in 53.16 to earn second place in the event.
Wesley Slaughter placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 47.18.

Sheridan added a third-place finish in 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:27.23.
Ben Klimczak placed third in the 100-yard backstroke by completing the race in 54.86.
Nick Young scored a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:01.34.
Hunter Jones picked up a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke by completing the race in 59.69.

The Little Giants closed out the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard free relay. Slaughter turned in a season-best time of 21.37 on the leadoff 50-yard leg of the relay. He joined
Kyle Louks,
Isaac Temores, and Dziadek to post a time of 1:28.04 to capture third place overall.

Wabash will travel to Florida after the holidays for training over the winter break before returning to action before returning for a home meet against Illinois Wesleyan University January 11 at 6:30 p.m.
