A small contingent of student-athletes started the outdoor portion of the 2018 track and field season Saturday at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational.
RaShawn Jones posted the top individual finish for the Little Giants by winning the 110-meter hurdles in 15.64.
Josh Wiggins place third overall, crossing the finish line in 16.13.
John Dotlich finished in 17.64 to place sixth.
Rogeno Malone captured fourth place in the 400-meter hurdles by finishing in 59.33. Dotlich added an eighth-place finish with a time of 1:03.02.
Chad Wunderlich turned in a top throw of 38.72 meters (127 feet) in the javelin to finish ninth overall.
Nicholas Morin scored a top-ten finish in the 800-meter run, completing the race in 2:11.40 to finish tenth.

Brady Gossett,
Tyler Ramsey, and
Austin Ellingwood raced to second place in 4x400-meter relay. The foursome finished with a time of 3:23.67.
Andrew Young,
Anthony McGinnis, Jones, and Wiggins combined to place fourth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:33.39.
Wabash finished seventh out of ten teams competing at the meet with a total of 33 points. Rose-Hulman won the men's team scoring with 269 points.
