Wabash scored three top-eight finishes in the decathlon over the weekend at the North Coast Athletic Conference Combined Events Championship to score a total of 12 points toward next week's NCAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A small group of Little Giants also competed over the weekend at the Gina Relays at Hillsdale College in Michigan and at the Miami of Ohio Redhawk Invitational.
Angus Edmundson earned All-NCAC honors with a third-place finish in the decathlon Friday and Saturday at Oberlin College. Edmundson scored a total of 5,201 points.
Hunter Baehl scored four team points for Wabash with a fifth-place finish in the decathlon. He earned the highest point total of any of the eight competitors in the 1500-meter run, scoring 599 of his final total of 5,161 points by finishing in 4:53.21.
Ballard Suiter finished seventh overall in the decathlon with a total of 4,752 points to add another team point to the Little Giants' totals. Wabash sits one point behind Ohio Wesleyan University with 13 total points after one event.
Four Wabash runners competed in the steeplechase at the Gina Relays event at Hillsdale Friday afternoon.
Colin Rinne placed seventh overall, turning in a career-best time of 9:25.61.
Jonah Woods finished tenth overall with a career-best time of 9:28.98.
Hayden Bahl finished 11th in the 800-meter run at the Gina Relays by finishing in 1:58.71.
A handful of Wabash runners competed at the Redhawk Invitational to prepare for next weekend's conference championship meet.
Satchel Burton placed sixth overall in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 15.52.
John Dotlich placed 11th overall with a time of 16.82.
Tyler Ramsey finished seventh in the 400-meter dash with a career-best time of 51.51. Nick Morin finished 11th overall with a time of 53.70 for a career-best effort.
Rogeno Malone placed tenth in the 400-meter hurdles by finishing in a career-best time of 58.50.
Daniel Howe placed sixth in the javelin throw with a top mark of 43.67 meters (143 feet, 3 inches).
PJ Mays finished eighth in the high jump, clearing the bar at a top height of 1.75 meters (5 feet, 8.75 inches).

Josh Wiggins,
Anthony McGinnis, and
Leon Ivy combined to finish second in the 4x100-meter relay, completing the race in a season-best time of 43.09.
Wabash will head to Allegheny College next Friday. The Gators will serve as hosts for the 2018 NCAC Outdoor Championships.
