Wabash College freshman Jose Franco earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Sprints/Hurdles Athlete of the Week honors for his performance Friday evening at the Rose-Hulman Engineer Indoor Track and Field Invitational.
 
Franco captured one individual title and was part of two relay wins for the Little Giants. He finished in first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.75, the quickest time this season by an NCAC runner in the event. Franco ran as part of Wabash's 4x200-meter relay team that won the event with a season-best time of 1:31.70 which is also the fastest reported among NCAC schools this season.
 
Franco also competed as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team, helping the Little Giants win that event with a time of 3:26.24, four seconds faster than the second-best time turned in by a conference school this year.
