The Wabash cross country team previewed the 2019 NCAA Division III National Championship course Saturday while competing at the Louisville Cross Country Classic at E. P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Kentucky. The Little Giants finished 24th out of 40 teams competing in the men's silver race, one of 12 races held as part of Saturday's meet.

Wabash scored a total of 726 points while racing against some of the top programs in Division III, all hoping to return to the Louisville course for the championship meet on November 23. North Central won the team competition in the silver race with a total of 85 points followed by Johns Hopkins in second place (116 points) and Otterbein in third place (127 points).

The Little Giants produced a series of personal-best times over the 8,000-meter course.
Sam Henthorn turned in the top individual performance for Wabash. The senior finished 74th out of 276 runners with a career-best time of 25:43.4.
Ethan Pine placed 151st by finishing in 26:44.0 for his best time of his career.
Henry Egan crossed the finish line in 26:49.3 to place 158th just ahead of
Drew Lukens in 159th place with a time of 26:49.7, both setting new personal-best times.

Clark Criddell raced to a 188th-place finish with a career-best time of 27:13.8.
Zach Titus placed 194th overall with a time of 27:21.6 to set his personal-best time over 8,000 meters.
Hunter Wakefield completed the course in 27:53.7 to place 219th.
