Wabash opened the indoor track and field Saturday by winning the Robert H. Johnson "Tell Me Something Good" Open. The Little Giants captured two individual victories and 27 top-six finishes on the track named for the Wabash coaching legend.

Josh Wiggins provided an individual victory in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, winning the event with a time of 8.59.
Max Bigler placed third overall with a time of 9.38.
Hunter Baehl finished in 9.70 for fifth place.
Ballard Suiter added a sixth-place finish with a time of 9.81.

Wiggins added a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 22.88 just 3/100ths of a second off the winning time of 22.85.
Ethan Hurt placed fourth for the Little Giants with a time of 23.78.
Leon Ivy finished with a time of 23.90 to place sixth overall.

Wabash captured the top-four spots in the pole vault. Suiter won the event with top height of 4.10 meters (13 feet, 5.25 inches).
Lucas Bender placed second overall by matching Suiter's effort of 4.10 meters on a later attempt.
Ahmaud Hill cleared 3.90 meters (12 feet, 9.50 inches) to place third. Baehl topped out at 2.95 meters (9 feet, 8 inches) to place fourth.

Max Bigler won the high jump by clearing 1.95 meters (6 feet, 4.75 inches).
Isaac Caines placed fourth overall with a top effort of 1.75 meters (5 feet, 8.75 inches).
Stuart Anker turned in a top height of 1.70 meters (5 feet, 7 inches) to place fifth.

Juan Montenegro finished second in the 300-meter dash by crossing the finish line in 36.05.
Tyler Ramsey placed fourth overall with a time of 36.62.
Andrew Young was right behind in fifth place at 37.63.
Jalen Fielder scored a sixth-place finish with a time of 38.37.

Isaiah Campbell captured second place in the shot put with a top mark of 14.40 meters (47 feet, 3 inches).
Donnie Mader scored a fourth-place finish in the shot with a distance of 12.90 meters (42 feet, 4 inches). Mader placed second in the weight throw with a mark of 15.10 meters (49 feet, 6.50 inches). Campbell added a third-place finish with a top effort of 13.93 meters (45 feet, 8.50 inches).

Young, Suiter, Montenegro, and Ramsey combined to finish second overall in the 4x400-meter relay at the end of the meet. The foursome finished the race in 3:29.81.

Christopher Barker finished the 600-meter run in 1:29.57 to take third place for the Little Giants.

Gianni Minor scored a fifth-place finish in the long jump with leap of 6.02 meters (19 feet, 9 inches). Bender placed sixth overall with a distance of 5.86 meters (19 feet, 2.75 inches). Ivy finished sixth in the finals of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.36.
Wabash finished with a total of 95 points to win the meet, finishing ahead of Albion College in second place with a total of 71 points. Indiana East finished third with 53 points, followed by St. Mary of the Woods (43), Southern Indiana (30), and Pikeville (19).

Wabash resumes the indoor season on January 18 at Purdue Fort Wayne at the Mastedon Open.
