The Wabash cross country team was honored Thursday as an All-Academic Team by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the fall of 2018. Junior runners
Sam Henthorn and
John Kirts received individual honors for their efforts both athletically and academically.

The Wabash team was one of 393 Division III teams honored by the USTFCCA. Schools earned All-Academic Team accolades from the organization by turning in a score while competing at the NCAA regional level in addition to recording a minimum cumulative grade point of 3.10. Wabash, under head coach
Tyler McCreary, finished 13
th at the Great Lakes Regional in November of 2018 and reported a cumulative GPA of 3.48.

Henthorn and Kirts earned individual All-Academic honors after meeting the qualifications of maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of competitors at the regional championship meet. Henthorn is a classics major and philosophy minor with a 3.75 cumulative GPA. He finished 52
nd out of 265 runners at the Great Lakes Regional in November. Kirts is a religion and Spanish double major and is minoring in English with a 3.82 cumulative GPA. He placed 40
th at the regional competition.
