Jones Moves To 15th On NCAA DIII Performance List

RaShawn Jones turned in his fastest time of the season in the 110-meter hurdles at the Dr. Keeler Track and Field Meet to move into the top-20 among Division III competitors in an effort to qualify for the NCAA DIII Outdoor National Championship Meet.

Jones finished in third place overall with a time of 14.63 to move to 15th overall on the DIII performance list. The top-20 performances for the year will qualify for the 2019 meet to take place May 23-25 in Geneva, Wisconsin. He joins teammate Preston Whaley, who is currently 12th on the triple jump performance list, as possible qualifiers.

Whaley joined Andrew Young, Jose Franco, and Tyler Ramsey to turn in a season-best time in the 4x400-meter relay at the Keeler Meet, finishing in 3:19.96 for the fastest time in that event this season for Wabash. The foursome finished sixth overall at the meet.

Gianni Minor scored a top-ten finish at the Keeler Meet by placing sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.50 meters (21 feet, 4 inches). Whaley scored an eighth-place finish in the triple jump with a top mark of 13.71 meters (41 feet, 11.75 inches).
