Max Bigler earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors with a third-place finish in the heptathlon to help Wabash to second place in the conference championship standings.

Bigler placed third overall in the two-day, seven-event competition held at Oberlin College Saturday and Sunday. He finished with a total of 4,291 points. Bigler scored a total of eight teams points for the Little Giants heading into next weekends' full schedule of events to complete the indoor track and field championships.

Bigler entered Sunday's final three heptathlon events with a total of 2,503 points. He scored an additional 733 points by finishing the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.06. Bigler cleared 3.25 meters (10 feet, 8 inches) in the pole vault to add 418 points to his score. A finish of 3:02.76 in the 1,000-meter run to complete the competition earned Bigler 637 points.

Ballard Suiter placed fifth overall with a total score of 4,127 points to add another four points to the Wabash team score.
Hunter Baehl finished in seventh place with a score of 3,777 points while earning two teams points for the Little Giants.

Wabash earned a total of 12 points in the heptathlon and trail only Oberlin's total of 13 points in the team standings. Wittenberg is third in the team scoring with a total of eight points. Denison is in fourth place with five points. Ohio Wesleyan earned one point for fifth place.

The remaining events of the championship meet begin Friday, February 28 at Denison University and concluded on Saturday, February 29.
