Wabash won both meetings versus Denison during the regular season. The Little Giants picked up a 75-65 win in Granville, Ohio in December prior to winning 88-65 at here at Chadwick Court in late January. Jack Davidson averaged 21.5 points against the Big Red. Harrison Hallstrom recorded an average of 15 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two wins. Tyler Watson finished with a 12 points-per-game average, and Kellen Schreiber pitched in an average of 10.5 points.

Wabash and Denison have meet three times in the NCAC Tournament. The Little Giants have won two of the three contests, but Denison claimed a 74-60 win in its last tournament game at Chadwick Court in 2012. The winner of Tuesday night's game will meet the winner between Allegheny and Wooster. That game will be played on Friday evening in the semifinal round. The semifinals and championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed's home court.

The Little Giants are hosting a quarterfinal game for the 11th time since joining the NCAC in 1999. Wabash is 8-2 in quarterfinal contests played at Chadwick Court and owns a 12-8 overall record in the NCAC quarterfinal round of the tournament. The last time Wabash advanced to the championship game of the NCAC Tournament was in 2009. The Little Giants entered the tournament as a sixth seed and defeated third-seeded Hiram 83-75 on the road. Wabash knocked off seventh seed Allegheny 73-56 in the semifinals before losing 84-72 to Wooster in the championship game. The Little Giants are 0-3 in NCAC championship game appearances (2000, 2008, 2009).
