Wabash captured its seventh North Coast Athletic Conference indoor track and field title by winning the 2020 championship event by nearly 100 points.

The Little Giants scored a total of 207.791 points to easily outdistance the remaining eight teams competing at the meet. Ohio Wesleyan University finished second in the standings with a total of 115.625 points. Denison, the host school for the two-day meet, finished third with 92 points. Wittenberg (72.25 points) and Oberlin (60 points) rounded out the top-five spots.

Wabash also claimed three of five individual awards. Senior
Sam Henthorn was voted as the Men's Distance/Middle Distance Runner of the Year to go with his Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year Award from the fall. Junior

Max Bigler captured the men's high jump title with a winning height of 1.96 meters (6 feet, 5 inches) to set a new career-best mark.
Giovonni Zappala scored a sixth-place finish by clearing 1.86 meters (6 feet, 1.25 inches) for his best career effort.
Ahmaud Hill placed seventh overall with a top height of 1.81 meters (5 feet, 11.25 inches).
Isaac Caines tied for eighth place as one of eight competitors clearing 1.76 meters (5 feet, 9. 25 inches).

Wabash scored a total of 24 team points in the shot put. Campbell picked up 10 points for the Little Giants by winning the event with a winning toss of 14.85 meters (48 feet, 8.75 inches).
Brandon English added an all-conference performance with his second-place finish with a career-best distance of 14.71 meters (48 feet, 3.25 inches).
Brandon Peck placed fourth overall with a mark of 14.42 meters (47 feet, 3.75 inches).
Donnie Mader produced a top distance of 13.43 meters (44 feet, 0.75 inches) to finish in eighth place.

Jared Strehl added an individual championship in the long jump with a winning leap of 6.54 meters (21 feet, 5.5 inches).
Kamron Ferguson earned fifth place with his top jump of 6.31 meters (20 feet, 8.5 inches) to set a new top career mark.

On the track senior
RaShawn Jones continued his blistering pace in the 60-meter hurdles. One day after setting the fifth-best time in Division III, Jones improved on that effort by winning the event with a time of 8.08 to secure sole possession of fifth place on the DIII performance list heading into the final week of the track and field regular season schedule. The Little Giants captured all three all-conference spots in the event.
Josh Wiggins finished in second place with a new personal-best time of 8.22.
Leo Warbington earned the final all-conference award by finishing in third place with a time of 8.53. Zappala also scored team points in the hurdles with a fifth-place finish, crossing the line in 8.68 for the best time of his career.

Henthorn earned his second conference title in as many days by winning the 3,000-meter run with a career-best time of 8:38.25. Henthorn won the 5,000-meter run on Friday and was the men's individual cross country champion in the fall.

Keith Abramson captured the conference title in the 800-meter run. He won the event with a time of 1:58.47. Jon Deem-Lauriero scored a fourth-place finish by posting a time of 2:00.69.
Clarke Criddell finished the finals race in 2:02.29 to earn eighth place.

Ethan Pine won the mile run to add another individual conference championship to the Wabash total. He completed the race in 4:22.19.

Wiggins placed fourth in the finals of the 200-meter dash by finishing in 22.61.
Jose Franco scored a seventh-place finish with his finals time of 23.19. Wiggins also placed sixth in the 60-meter dash by finishing in 7.02.
Tyler Ramsey added a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.45. Franco place eighth in the finals by finishing in 51.77.

Wabash closed out the meet by winning the 4x400-meter relay.
Juan Montenegro and
Andrew Young joined with Franco and Ramsey to turn in a first-place time of 3:24.89 to finish ahead of Wittenberg in second place with a time of 3:25.31.

The Little Giants earned 10 first-place championship finishes over the course of the two-day meet along with a total of 15 all-conference performances and 36 top-eight finishes throughout all of the championship events.
