The Little Giant golf team hosted 14 squads for the first two rounds of the 2021 Wabash College Golf Invitational Monday at the Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis. Wabash ended the first day of competition in ninth place overall.

Wabash finished the first two rounds with a total score of 610, trailing eighth-place Kenyon by seven strokes. The Lords finished day one with a score of 603. Illinois Wesleyan leads the team scoring heading into Tuesday's final round with a score of 576.

Wabash sophomore
Brayden Weiss produced the top individual finish for the Little Giants on day one. Weiss scored a 36-hole total of 149 strokes (75-74) to tie for 23rd place out of 70 competitors. Freshman Mark Lesniak is tied for 34th place with a two-round score of 152 (73-79).
Mark Poole is tied for 38th place after shooting a 153 (77-76) on Monday.

Tim Neu enters Tuesday's final round tied for 47th place with a score of 156 (77-79).
Conner Taylor carded a two-round total of 164 strokes (78-86) for 60th place overall.

Wabash freshman
Robert Pruzin, playing as a member of the Wabash "B" team, recorded a hole-in-one on the par-three 15th hole. His ace was one of two in the second round of the tournament.

The final round of the Wabash Invitational begins Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Broadmoor.
