Wabash scored a total of 57 points at Friday evening's Robert H. Johnson Some Little Giant Indoor Track and Field Invitational held at the Knowling Fieldhouse. The Little Giants finished in first place at the four-team event.

Wabash captured 16 top-three finishes at the meet.
Ethan Pine,
Drake Hayes, and
Giovonni Zappala each scored first-place finishes in running events for the Little Giants. Pine won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:0033.
Will Neubauer took third place by finishing in 2:04.01. Hayes completed the 3,000-meter run in 9:13.15 to win that event.
Joe Barnett crossed the finish line in 9:17.60 to place third overall. Zappala won the 60-meter hurdles with a top time of 8.92, while teammate
Willy Shepler captured third place by finishing in 9.11.

Jacob Oostman and
Brandon English provided first-place finishes in the field events for Wabash. Oostman won the high jump by clearing 1.78 meters (5 feet, 10 inches). He also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.23 meters (20 feet, 5.25 inches).
Wyatt Dorsey scored a third-place finish in the long jump with a top effort of 6.18 meters (20 feet, 3.5 inches.

English won the shot put with his best mark of 13.19 meters (43 feet, 3.25 inches).

The Wabash quartet of
Thomas Joven,
Howie Steele, Neubauer, and
Nathan France won the 4x400-meter relay with a top time of 3:36.88. Steele added a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash by crossing the line in 52.97.

Julius Hearns took second place in the finals of the 60-meter dash. He crossed the finish line in 7.20 after posting a qualifying time of 7.26 in the prelims.
Jacob Sitzman finished in second place in the mile run with a time of 4:50.20.
Seth Acero took third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.03.
Kenny Coleman placed third overall in the weight throw with a toss of 13.22 meters (43 feet, 4.5 inches).

Wabash scored 57 points to finish ahead of Franklin College in second place with 31 points. Indiana East placed third in the team scoring with 17 points. Spalding University finished with three points.

Wabash returns to action on Saturday, January 22 at Rose-Hulman at 6 p.m.
